Poetry: All She Wanted

By figur8

I know the anguish that you feel,

The burden you bear, you do conceal.

To me you once did confide,

And now your feelings you would hide?

I wait here patient for your reply,

You did not write, I wondered why?

You know I'm here if you should call,

Whatever you need, I'd give my all.

I hope your anger's not with me,

The words I said you disagreed?

I know you do not want to hear,

"He's not the one, is that your fear?"

I know this man's your heart's desire,

I know the glow he sets afire,

But can he give you what you yearn for?

What is this price in return for?

Please don't be mad at what I say,

It's all for you that I do pray,

If you're really happy now,

I accept that, I will some how.

Just remember that I love you,

I always will whatever you do.

A heartyposem that -with its strong emotion and controlled expresson, powerfully expresses the love of a sincere wife to her beloved.

Feelings are sensitive.

It also clearly tells the sarrows a person is having in his mind, and wife's understanding of that. This is a situation where words are of less use but just a touch is more soothing.

I suggest you try to moderate this poem.

It can be definetely improved.

Absolutely beautiful; moving;lovely and sensitive; I too, love poetry, but mine is a mix of abstract/prose and I do not share it with the masses. YOU need to publish a book of your poems. They are that GOOD.
